Family Practice physicians are trained to prevent, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of ailment in patients of all ages. They have received a broad range of training. They place special emphasis on care of families on a continuing basis, utilizing consultations and community resources when appropriate. They are able to apply modern techniques to prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of the vast majority of common illnesses and injuries.

Jonathan Gleason

Mr. Jonathan Gleason comes from a large family of 18 children, he being number 17.  He grew up in a home filled with love, faith, and cherished memories that set the foundation for who he is, and who he is striving to become. Mr. Gleason finds it difficult to quantify his accomplishments because he has the general attitude of lets get what we set out to accomplish done, regardless of where the praise goes.  He is always searching for opportunities to learn and grow and has always found a particular enjoyment in the medical field; specifically with helping, encouraging and watching people grow and heal in all aspects of their lives. Jonathan has had the opportunity to spend time in Kingston Jamaica where he was able to tutor boys who were struggling academically, be a role model to young men, and help take care of infants while encouraging their teen moms through life’s struggles.  Mr. Gleason used this service learning opportunity to learn from the Jamaican people how to be resilient and strive to  think outside the box in every circumstance. Mr. Gleason enjoys the outdoors and finds his happy place when he’s camping, fishing, riding a dirt bike, or tinkering in the garage; but his greatest accomplishments, and where he finds his most satisfaction; are the ones that happen in his own home.  As he and his incredibly supportive and selfless wife find immense joy in watching their 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls, grow and learn. Mr. Gleason started his career in healthcare in surgical services.  He quickly progressed through a myriad of projects, committees, and special project teams into management and on to Administration.  He has helped develop policies, procedures, and processes to aid in the growth of hospitals in rural America.  He has successfully negotiated contracts to optimize financial stability while acquiring state of the art equipment for rural hospitals.  He has developed and maintained relationships with other hospitals, organizations, and representatives to create an environment of safety and success.  He has a particular passion for rural healthcare and believes that the availability of health services to rural America is of critical importance to our nation’s health and wellbeing. The Gleason family is very excited to be here and be a part of Boise City and the success of the hospital
